Inspired by Scandinavian simplicity, Zoey's creative process celebrates colour, texture and storytelling, resulting in illustrations that feel playful, joyful and unique.

Zoey paints her own papers by hand, drawing inspiration from artists such as Eric Carle, Leo Lionni and Lois Ehlert.

 

She loves experimenting with colour and texture before cutting, arranging and layering individual pieces to create each collage.

​

While Zoey often begins with a plan, she allows the process to evolve naturally. A colour, a painted piece of paper or a simple shape can sometimes become the starting point for a new character, illustration or story.

​Each collage begins as a small piece of original artwork before finding its place within the pages of a miniature book.
